Challenge

Amstein + Walthert AG offers its customers tailor-made energy-saving services based on a detailed analysis of energy data. In order to collect and evaluate this data, A+W needs a powerful and reliable energy management system (EMS) that is compatible with different types of energy meters. In addition, the dashboards must enable simple and intuitive operation/analysis in order to simplify the daily processes of the users and thus strengthen customer loyalty.

Solution and implementation

For many years, Amstein + Walthert has relied on Tesenso's IoT EMS, which meets their requirements. The IoT EMS is a cloud-based platform that enables a wireless connection to the energy meters via the LoRaWAN network. Using the M-Bus to LoRaWAN Bridge developed by Tesenso, existing meters can also be connected to the IoT EMS. The EMS enables automatic reading of the energy data in real time and presents it in customised dashboards and reports. In this way, the various users can call up current information from their property at any time, analyse the data and derive measures. According to the specifications for the measurement concept from A+W, Tesenso takes over the entire range of tasks, from planning and installation to the ongoing operation of the system. They provide the connectivity, interfaces, servers and software so that Amstein + Walthert can concentrate on their core competence of energy consulting.
